2001 - 2003 U.S. Army-Baylor University MHA Program Graduate Student in Health Care Administration
2000 – 2001 61st Area Support Med Battalion Fort Hood, Texas Logistics Officer Responsible for planning and coordinating supply, services, transportation, maintenance, and facilities for an Area Support Medical Battalion with six separate units and over 275 personnel. Ensured units maintained required supplies and equipment on hand maintained highest level of equipment readiness. Facilitated unit deployments to the National Training Center and coordinated all transportation requirements. Responsible for a unit budget in excess of $275,000, identified requirements and tracked expenditures.
1998 – 2000 21st Combat Support Hospital Fort Hood, Texas Company Commander Responsible for the health, welfare, training, and administration of 200 soldiers assigned to the Headquarters and Support Company. Provided supervision of administrative support, finance, legal, laundry, food service, medical supply, and organizational maintenance for a 296 bed Combat Support Hospital. Maintained accountability of property in excess of $10,000,000.
1997 – 1998 168th Area Spt Med Battalion Camp Humphreys, Korea Executive Officer Assisted commander in the daily operation of a 45 person forward deployed medical company with the dual mission of providing daily medical care to an active duty population of over 10,000 soldiers and maintaining the unit’s go to war readiness. Primary supervision of supply, maintenance, NBC, and communication sections. Provided supervision of clinic patient administration section, budget, information management, and postal operations. Taught english to eleven Korean soldiers assigned to the unit.
1996 – 1997 Brooke Army Medical Center Fort Sam Houston, Texas Adjutant Provided administrative support to the Executive Officer and Chief of Staff for the coordination of all activities relating to the hospital operations and the administrative staff. Managed the section budget of $700,000 and ensured property accountability of over $250,000 worth of equipment. Coordinated the BAMC Mentorship Program and personally mentored one high school student.
1994– 1996 Brooke Army Medical Center Fort Sam Houston, Texas Administrator, Department of Radiology Responsible for administrative support in the Department of Radiology for the Army’s second largest medical center. Directly responsible for a $5,000,000 budget, equipment planning and procurement, and management of the department’s 86 military and 91 civilian personnel.
